Cllr. Ed Bridges wants the council to make it harder for Allensbank House residents to park illegally on Clodien Ave.

Gabalfa's Liberal Democrat councillors have been demanding action on Clodien Avenue's parking congestion.

Residents will be only too aware of problems in the area from Allensbank House residents and hospital staff taking up spaces in nearby streets.

Local councillor, Ed Bridges, has called on the council to consult with residents and extend residents-only bays where there is local support.

Ed told us: "There have been problems for years with parking in this area. We opposed plans for Allensbank House because we knew it would end up causing this sort of congestion, and we were proved right. I want to see residents given the chance to make their case for more residents-only parking bays if they think that will help alleviate the problem."
