Cllr. Ann Rowland-James and Jacqui Hooper are pleased that our Lib Dem council has been gating allies like this one on Gabalfa Avenue.

Action from the Llandaff North Lib Dem Team has resulted in local allies being gated in an effort to cut down anti-social behaviour.

Cardiff's Liberal Democrat council has been gating allies across Cardiff to address problems with youth annoyance, and Llandaff North ward (which includes Gabalfa Estate and North Mynachdy) has seen particularly strong progress.

Those already closed since 2004 include:

• Bala Rd

• Bacton Rd

• Aberporth Rd

• Aberdore Rd

• Aberbran Rd

• Caldy Rd

• Cornelly Rd

• Gabalfa Ave

Gating works in College Road will start soon, and requests have been made to close the alley between Station Road, Evansfield Road and Ty Mawr Road.

Cllr. Ann Rowland-James said: "Contrary to what Labour are telling people in the ward, our Lib Dem council has been very active in tackling anti-social behaviour. The number of gullies gated is testimony to this."
