Cllr. Ed Bridges and Cllr. Cathy Pearcy are pleased that their campaign for a new perimeter fence at Flaxland Allotments has been successful.

The Gabalfa Lib Dem Focus Team are pleased that many years of campaigning has paid off - after a new fence was erected on the boundary of Flaxland Allotments.

Cllr. Cathy Pearcy said: "For years, this area has suffered with problems of fly-tipping and litter because the old fence was falling apart. We've campaigned for a long time to get it replaced with something more sturdy and, at last, a new fence has arrived."

Over the coming months, it is hoped that the area behind the fence will be cleared to make way for even more allotment space. At the recent local elections, the Lib Dems in Gabalfa campaigned on their record of standing up for local green spaces, and this recent investment demonstrates that this hard work is continuing.

Cllr. Ed Bridges added: "Hopefully more of the old fence will be replaced before it too deteriorates. Cathy and I will be working on this over the coming months."
