Cllr. Cathy Pearcy and the Lib Dem Focus Team are calling for action to prevent Mynachdy Road from flooding again.

Mynachdy's Liberal Democrat councillors were alarmed to hear about the recent flooding of Mynachdy Road.

Cllr. Cathy Pearcy spoke to many residents following heavy rain in early June, and has contacted Welsh Water to ask them to inspect local drains again.

Cathy said: "Welsh Water claim that the drains are all functioning as they should. But the recent floods showed that this simply isn't true. I have asked for urgent action on this so there isn't another repeat in the future."

John Dixon, Lib Dem Parliamentary Spokesman for Cardiff North, added: "The Lib Dems will continue to work on this issue on behalf of local residents."
