Cllrs. Cathy Pearcy and Ed Bridges are working to improve drainage around Mynachdy Estate.

The Gabalfa Lib Dem Focus Team has been campaigning to improve the drainage in and around Mynachdy Road on behalf of residents.

Local Liberal Democrat councillors collected a petition earlier this year to highlight the issue of Mynachdy Road's poor drainage.

They then raised the matter with Welsh Water who are responsible for the areas in question. They have now responded to say that extra surveys and desilting are being carried out to resolve the problem. If anyone would like to see Welsh Water's response in full, they can contact Cllr. Ed Bridges.

Ed told us: "Welsh Water have advised residents that incidents of flooding should be reported to their 24 hour hotline on 0800 085 3968 so they can investigate and find the source of any problems. Hopefully this matter can now be finally resolved after years of delays."
