Local Lib Dems, Cllr. Fenella Bowden and John Dixon, are calling for more to be done to stop commuter cars from filling the car park in Heath Park all day.

Local Lib Dems are campaigning for a stricter control on the car parks in Heath Park.

Currently, cars park in the area all day, especially in the short stay car park by the model railway, and prevent local residents from visiting the Park.

Local campaigner, John Dixon, said: "Many of the cars parking in the short stay car park are owned by hospital workers, who park here all day for no charge. Some motorists have also been damaging the grass verges adjacent to the golf course."

Following requests from Liberal Democrat councillor, Fenella Bowden, the Council will be considering increasing parking enforcement in the short stay car park, and reviewing parking arrangements in the area to see if the situation can be improved.
