Cllr. Ed Bridges is urging residents in the streets around Maitland Park to get involved with the 'Park Watch' scheme.

Residents in the streets around Maitland Park in Gabalfa are being asked to volunteer their services to help with a community 'Park Watch' scheme.

Last summer, following problems with anti-social behaviour at Maitland Park, local residents took on the job of locking and unlocking the park at dusk and dawn. The scheme has proved successful so far, but with the summer now upon us, new volunteers are needed if the scheme is to continue.

Cllr. Ed Bridges is one of those involved with the scheme. He said: "So far, there have been a lot fewer antisocial behaviour problems. But the scheme can only work if people volunteer to do a stint of locking and unlocking on a rota basis."

If you can help, contact Cllr. Ed Bridges for more details.
