Steady progress is being made on a scheme to brighten up the dead end of Canada Road in Gabalfa ward.

Cardiff's Liberal Democrat council has agreed a project to tidy up the site, similar to the scheme further down Whitchurch Road by Gladstone Primary school. The scheme will see new seating and cycle racks added, the broken pavement replaced and road safety improved for the benefit of pupils at the school.

Local councillor, Ed Bridges, said: "The scheme is moving forward on schedule. We're optimistic that work will be completed by the start of the new school year - it'll be a great way to welcome back pupils of Ysgol Mynydd Buchan."
